Visitation for Travis Earl Foster, 62, of Lufkin will be held Friday, September 27, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Travis Earl Foster passed away on September 23, 2024, at the age of 62, in Lufkin, Texas. Born on May 18, 1962, Travis was known for his deep roots and close connections in the community.

Travis attended Hudson High School and soon after joined the Army, serving from 1986-1988. His dedication to service was a testament to his strong character and patriotism. Following his military service, Travis worked alongside his father in construction before taking positions at Lufkin Industries, Texas Foundry as a laborer, and finally at Lowes in the Garden Center, where he was well-regarded by his colleagues for his hard work and reliability.

A man of faith, Travis was a devoted Christian who cherished his relationship with God. His hobbies included fishing and hunting with his dad and brothers, a tradition that brought much joy and many cherished memories. Additionally, Travis was talented in drawing and carpentry, skills that he enjoyed sharing with his loved ones.

Travis is survived by his daughters, Jessica Foster and Felesheia Crockett (daughter-in-law); his father, Clifton Foster; brothers, Ricky Foster, Michael and Lisa Foster, and Marlon Foster; and his grandchildren, Krysta Madera, Bryce Taylor, and Tanner Foster. He also leaves behind his ex-wife, Kathy McGaughey Foster, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother, Glenda Graham Foster; grandparents, Barto and Irene Ford Graham, and Robert and Lular Foster; brother-in-law/cousin, Bryan Clayton Graham; and in-laws, J.C. and Palma Miles McGaughey, along with many aunts and uncles.

Memorial services for Travis will be held at Freeman Cemetery at a later date. Travis's life was marked by his love for his family, his service to his country, and his unwavering faith. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
