Tim Troutman

Funeral services for Tim Troutman, 75, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Clawson Assembly of God Church with Pastor Kevin Poage and Pastor Josh Poage officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Nogalus Prairie.

Mr. Troutman was born March 5, 1949 in Houston, Texas to the late Oma Bell (Dominy) and Ernest Edward Troutman, and died Tuesday, November 19, 2024 in a local hospital.

Tim/Daddy/Paw(Pa) was a selfless, loving man. He had a strong love for God and his family. Although he was an orphan as a young child, he grew to be a man that made everyone feel loved and as part of his family. He had the most infectious child-like laugh and truly was a gentle giant. Tim wasn’t afraid of hard work or working for long hours; he never complained about helping someone out no matter the circumstances. He was the embodiment of God’s commandment to “love thy neighbor as thyself”. He loved nature, fishing, front porch sitting and slow easy evenings playing sudoku.

Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Pamela Troutman of Lufkin; sons, Trent Troutman and Lance Troutman; daughters and son-in-law, Tonya and Steve Frazier and Lindsey Suggs; son and daughter-in-law, Conner and Aubrey Nabours; grandchildren, Linzi, Graci, Tyson and Cody Frazier, Riley and Newton Nabours; and numerous other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be Brody Butler, Matt Mullen, Brett Jones, Lee McMullen, James Pickle, Jr., and Jeff Edwards.

Honorary pallbearer will be Charlie Cortinez.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
