Graveside services for Sharon Ann Green of Montgomery, Texas will be held Monday, December 16, 2024 at 12:00 noon in Black Jack Cemetery, Nacogdoches County, Texas.
Ms. Green was born March 26, 1954 in Nacogdoches, Texas and passed away at a Houston hospital Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the age of 70. She was a graduate of Nacogdoches High School and Stephen F. Austin State University.
Sharon began her professional journey in law enforcement, serving as a dispatcher for multiple communities across Texas. In this role, she exemplified a calm and composed presence, providing vital support to officers and ensuring the safety of her community.
Following her time in law enforcement, she transitioned to a distinguished career in the title, mortgage, and real estate industries. Over the years, she earned widespread respect and admiration for her expertise and dedication. Her career included roles as a Legal Assistant and an Escrow Officer, a position she held for more than two decades. Her meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Later, as a Consultant, she became a trusted authority, sharing her extensive knowledge and guiding others in navigating the complexities of the industry.
Sharon took a special interest in the activities and well-being of her nieces and nephews, staying engaged in their lives even from afar. She cared deeply about their journeys, always eager to hear about their accomplishments, challenges, and milestones, and offered her unwavering support and encouragement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lamar Green and Lerene (Halbert) Green of Nacogdoches, Texas and her brother, Keith Green of Lufkin, Texas.
She is survived by her long-term companion, John Herring of Montgomery, Texas; brother, Gary Green and wife Sharon of Hideaway Lake, Texas; brother, Dale Green and wife Michelle of Lufkin, Texas; sister-in-law, Donna Green of Lufkin, Texas; John Herring’s sons, John Stephens Herring and wife Taylor, Mathew Shane Herring, David Spencer Herring and his grandson Calvin Herring, all of Montgomery, Texas; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
