Shane Temple Pickard

Funeral services for Shane Temple Pickard, 48, of Hudson will be held Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Josh Poage officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mr. Pickard was born March 14, 1971 in Lufkin, Texas to Mary (Temple) and Robert Keith Pickard, and died Tuesday, April 30, 2019 in a local nursing home.

Mr. Pickard had resided in Hudson and Lufkin most of his life and had worked as a machinist for Lufkin Industries Trailer Plant Division. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns fan and loved his dogs. He dearly loved his two children and was the best son, brother and family member. Mr. Pickard was a member of Clawson Assembly of God.

Survivors include his son, Tyler Pickard of Burke; daughter, Shelby Pickard of Burke; mother, Mary Henderson of Hudson; sister, Kathryn “Cissy” Henderson of Portland; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Kent and Heather Henderson of Lufkin; niece, Ashley Suggs of Portland; nephew and wife, Shawn and Amanda Suggs of Lufkin; and great-nieces, Dixie, Kodi and Audrey.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Keith Pickard; and grandparents, Burnis and Beatrice Temple, Doyle Pickard, and Geneva Smith.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
