Richard Bryan Womack

Funeral services for Richard Bryan Womack, 67, of Hudson, will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dalton Smith officiating.  Interment and Masonic rites will follow in Narrow Way Cemetery.

Mr. Womack was born November 3, 1953 in Victoria, Texas, the son of the late Florence (McGilvra) and S.W. Womack.  He died Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in a hospital in Kenner, Louisiana.

Mr. Womack was the owner of Jocada Construction Company and had lived in the Lufkin area all his life.  He was a member of the Wells Masonic Lodge No. 915, A.F. & A.M.  He adored his wife, Stacey, the love of his life.  He enjoyed working to provide for his family.  Richard loved spending time with his grandkids and teaching them good work ethics.    Richard had an anointed passion from God to help others, no matter the cost.  He loved to travel, tend to his cattle and spoil his dogs, and work in the yard.

Survivors include his wife, Stacey Womack of Hudson; sons, Josh B. Womack of Hudson, David Womack and wife Haley of Duncan, Oklahoma; daughter, Cassy Womack and fiancé Brandon McAdams of Hudson; grandchildren, Christian Bryan Womack and wife Jessica, Kaden Bryan Womack, Liam Bryan Womack, Scout Bryan Womack and Nora Bella Womack; great grandson, Noah James Womack; best friend, Randall Norsworthy of Hudson, brothers, Mac Womack of Hockley, Ronnie Womack and wife Becky of Lufkin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Marren Bryanne Womack; sister, Paulette Arriola; and niece, Mary Beaty.

Pallbearers will be David Womack, Christian Womack, Kaden Womack, Liam Womack, Jason Ramsey, Scout Womack and Chet Robinson.

Honorary pallbearers are Josh B. Womack, Greg Harrison, Randall Norsworthy, Larry Joe Watson and Thomas Gerik.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
