Olegario Abraham Orta

Mass of Christian Burial for Olegario Abraham Orta, 81, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, July 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Fr. Jorge Dinguis officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Orta was born March 6, 1941 in Melchor, Guanajuato, Mexico to the late Jovita (Rangel) and Jose Orta, and died Friday, June 24, 2022 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Gomez (Ferrer) Orta of Lufkin; children and spouses, Jose and Elena Orta, Victor Orta and Olga Mendoza, Antonio Orta and Carmen Rodriguez, Francisco Javier Orta and Dianeth Hernandez, Martha Orta, Osvaldo and Lesley Orta, Maria Lourdes Orta and Teodoro Santander; and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Francisco Raymundo Orta, Maria De La Luz, Maria De Jesus, and Maria Del Carmen.

Pallbearers will be Jose Orta, Victor Orta, Antonio Orta, Francisco Orta, Teodoro Santander, and Osvaldo Orta.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening before and after the Rosary at Carroway Funeral Home.
