Mary Frances (Broomfield) Heaton

Graveside memorial services for Mary Frances (Broomfield) Heaton, 79, of Allentown will be held Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gann Cemetery. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Heaton was born August 10, 1945 in Pasadena, Texas to the late Maxie (Murphy) and Hiram Fletcher Broomfield, and died Friday, April 11, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Heaton was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid hunter and fisherman. She was a member of Redland Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Carl Ray Heaton; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Chris Fanning; granddaughter, Julie Heaton-Fanning; brother-in-law, Leon Heaton and wife Gayle; sisters-in-law, Sarah Lou Massingill, Linda Ann Ennis, Alice Heaton; brothers-in-law, Bobby Cates, Kenneth Gates; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Edwin Broomfield, Roy Lee Broomfield; sister, Shirley Cates; brothers-in-law, Jarvis Heaton, Burl Heaton, Jurl Heaton, Frankie Joe Heaton; and sisters-in-law, Ima Jean Heaton, Clarice Rawlinson, Linnie B. Heaton, and Connie Lynn Gates.
