Margaret Ann Landers

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Landers, 74, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elwyn M. Gipson Memorial Chapel in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with David Srygley officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.

Margaret Ann Landers was born December 17, 1950 in Diboll, Texas to the late Louis Landers and Marie Bane and passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Lufkin, Texas.

Margaret grew up in a home with five siblings, one brother and four sisters, Linda, Louis, Debbie, Dianna, and Joy. She was a lifelong resident of Angelina County. She worked as a Business Manager for Texas Home Management for more than 25 years and also worked for Educare. Margaret loved family  gatherings especially preparing and planning for big milestone birthday celebrations for her mother, eating at Logan’s Roadhouse on Saturdays, and visiting other family members. Margaret never had children but her children were her nieces and nephews. She could be seen traveling to concerts and baseball games. Her presence was always seen. One of her greatest joys was to travel on a cruise to Alaska, a dream come true in 2017.

Survivors include her brother, Louis Landers, Jr. of Diboll; sisters, Linda Wright of Lufkin, Debbie Luce and husband Richard of Huntsville, Dianna Srygley and husband David of Corpus Christi, and Joy Reed and husband Bobby of Maryville, Tennessee. In addition, she is survived by several nieces and nephews, Todd, Gavin, Hollon, Graham, Faith, Wendy, Jennifer, Bailey, Rhett, Rylie, Makenzie, Kyle, Alli, Brittany, Logan, Landon, and Londyn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Landers and Marie Bane.

Pallbearers will be Todd Wright, Gavin Wright, Floyd Reese, Kyle Srygley, and Gaylon Wright.
