Graveside services for Lucia Hutson, 88, of Sugar Land will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park with Harold Hancock officiating.
Lucia was born February 14, 1930 in Albenga, Italy to the late Iolanda (Riconne) and Tebaldo Onorari, and died Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Sugar Land.
Lucia and her husband had resided in Lufkin for 54 years prior to her moving to Sugar Land in 2017. She moved to Lufkin in 1962 after living in Italy and then Germany. She received her United States citizenship in 1958.
She was a talented singer, seamstress, and a fabulous cook. Lucia was a loving wife and was devoted to her family. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Lucia, also known as Nana, will be greatly missed. She was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy O’Brien and husband Tom of Sugar Land; granddaughter, Lara O’Brien of Houston; brother, Marcello Onorari residing in Chiasso, Switzerland; sister-in-law, Agnes Hutson of Clifton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Elgin Hutson.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 W. Frank Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
