Javier D. Martinez, Sr.

Mass of Christian Burial for Javier D. Martinez, Sr., 59, of Diboll will be held Friday, April 27, 2018, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew The Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Raymundo Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Thursday evening in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Martinez was born December 27, 1958 in San Ramon De Los Patios, GTO, Mexico to the late Maria (Diosdado) and Moises Martinez, and died Wednesday, April 25, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mr. Martinez had resided in Diboll and was an Edger Operator at Temple Inland/Georgia Pacific for 40 years. He cherished his family and friends and the time spent with them. He especially enjoyed building campfires with his family. He enjoyed working with wood and was an outdoorsman. Mr. Martinez was of the Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Martinez of Diboll; children, Maria Del Pilar Garcia, Javier Martinez, Jr. and wife Cecilia, and Daisy Garcia and husband Ricardo, Sr., all of Diboll; grandchildren, Edgar Garcia, Adrian Martinez, Briana Garcia, Brisa Garcia, Xavier Martinez, Alicia Martinez, Khloe Martinez, Kyndall Martinez, Cristina Garcia, Abigahil Garcia, Ricardo Garcia, Jr., and Alejandro Castilleja; siblings, Abelino Martinez, David Martinez, Eva Martinez, Agustin Martinez, Eduardo Martinez, Hugo Martinez, Moises Martinez, Guillermina Martinez, Lillia Martinez, Martha Martinez, and Maria Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers will be his family.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
