Ivy Madden

Funeral services for Ivy Madden, 79, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Attoyac Cemetery in San Augustine County.

Mrs. Madden was born March 27, 1945 in San Augustine, Texas to the late Mattie Ethel (Butler) and Covy Lee Holloway, and died Saturday, October 5, 2024 in a local hospital.

Ivy was a Registered Nurse and worked in various clinics and hospitals throughout her career. She enjoyed collecting antiques and loved to sew, while her greatest passion was gardening. Ivy was a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Tonya Madden of Nacogdoches; brother-in-law, Joe Madden of Apple Springs; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Arnold Madden; sister, Arie Lee Madden; and brother, Covy Lavane Holloway.

Pallbearers will be Raymond Hoelsher, Hunter Hoelsher, Jay Cure, Ernie Mills, Michael Holloway, and Jason Holloway.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
