Hong Thi Nguyen

Visitations for Hong Thi Nguyen, 89, of Lufkin will be held from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021 at Carroway Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nguyen was born August 15, 1932 in Vietnam to the late Bong Thi and Ty Van Nguyen, and died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her residence.

She was a hard-working lady, raising 11 children while still living in Vietnam. After 1988 they moved to the U.S.A. She loved fishing and was a great cook. Her husband passed away in 2000 and she lived with her children until her death.

Survivors include her children, Thu Van Ellis and husband John of Corrigan, Thuy Nguyen and husband Ha of Humble, Binh Nguyen and wife Thanh of Lufkin, Tung Nguyen and wife Yen of Lufkin, Dien Nguyen and wife Linh of Corrigan, Dong Nguyen and wife Phuc of Kingwood, Nga Ly and husband Hieu of Lufkin; Tu Nguyen of Lufkin, and Minh Nguyen of Corrigan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Johnny Ellis, Tammy Ellis, Cham Nguyen, Vu Nguyen, Hai Nguyen, Anh Nguyen, Phuong Nguyen, Mike Lgnat-barnot, Daniel Nguyen, Camy Nguyen, Long Nguyen, Lien Nguyen, Lam Nguyen, Elina Nguyen, Ethan Nguyen, Amy Ly, Ariana Ly, Drew Kelley, Angelina Ly, Taylor Kelley, Devin Kelley, Kane Lucian Lgnat-barnot, Feyre Nguyen, Alysen Nguyen, Avery Nguyen, Aliana Nguyen, Maxon Nguyen, Jax Nguyen, and Olivia Nguyen; three sisters and one brother, still living in Vietnam.
