Funeral services for Floyd Holleman, 88, will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Pastor Floyd Barentine officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. Holleman was born May 20, 1931 in Rosebud, Arkansas to the late Pearl Mae (Turner) and Eugene Holleman, and died Thursday, November 28, 2019 in a hospice facility in Shenandoah, Texas.
Mr. Holleman proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Naval Radio Operator. He retired after 40 years of service from Brown and Root as a Petro Chemical Project Manager. Mr. Holleman was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his daughter, Phyllis Tuthill and husband John of Jersey Village; grandson, Bryan Tuthill “TAMU ‘11” and wife Whitney of Houston; granddaughter, Lauren Tuthill “TAMU ‘07” of Houston; great-grandchildren, Gemma Michelle Tuthill and Graham Alexander Tuthill; brother, Harold Lloyd Holleman of Searcy, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Jackie Ray Sanders Hooper Thompson of Huntington; and numerous other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Edith Louise Sanders Holleman; and sister, Ava Jean Holleman Benton.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Tuthill, Karim Leheta, Alan Porter, Victor Benson, Gerald Cartwright, and John Tuthill.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday morning prior to the service.
