Enrique Gonzalez

Funeral services for Enrique Gonzalez, 48, of Douglass will be held Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches.

Mr. Gonzalez was born April 12, 1973 in Veracruz, Mexico to Leonor (Olmedo) and Enrique Gonzalez, and died Sunday, August 22, 2021 in a Nacogdoches hospital.

Formerly of Nacogdoches, he had resided in Douglass for 14 years and was a brick layer. He enjoyed fishing, farming, and watching soccer. Most of all he loved his family and loved spending time with them. Mr. Gonzalez was a member of Iglesia Bautista Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nereyda (Guerra) Gonzalez of Douglass; sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Natalie Gonzalez, Victor Gonzalez, and Oliver Gonzalez, all of Douglass; daughter, Carley Gonzalez of Douglass; father, Enrique Gonzalez of Veracruz, Mexico; brothers, Luis Gonzalez and Cesar Gonzalez, both of Nacogdoches; sister, Evelia Gonzalez and Edith Gonzalez, both of Veracruz, Mexico; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leonor Gonzalez.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez, Amado Garcia, Ernesto Casteland, Gregorio Vazquez, and Elejio Vazquez.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Saturday morning prior to the services.
