Graveside services for David Lee Holt, 71, of Lufkin will be held Friday, February 16, 2018 at 12:00 noon in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Brother Don Moore officiating.
Mr. Holt was born September 4, 1946 in Center, Texas to the late Frances Vernice (Luman) and Oliver Lawrence “Dick” Holt, and died Monday, February 12, 2018 in a local hospital.
Mr. Holt served his country in the United States Army. He had resided in Lufkin for more than 30 years. He was employed by Lufkin Industries as a Maintenance Mechanic for over 31 years. He was a member of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F. & A.M. Mr. Holt was a Ham Radio Operator and enjoyed CB radios and electronics. He liked to work on projects around the house and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his sister, Deborah Sue Jones and husband Thomas of Lufkin; brother, Benny Joe Holt and wife Jennifer of Center; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pansy Holt in 2008; and brother, Lawrence Holt.
Pallbearers will be his family and friends.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. Friday morning at Carroway Funeral Home.
