Funeral services for Betty Lou (Farris) Crain, 81, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jacob Fitzgerald and Brother Charles M. Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Fielder Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Crain was the ninth child born to Viola (Strickland) Farris and Nab Chappel Farris August 31, 1940 at home in Trinity, Texas. She passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Parkwood in the Pines in Lufkin, under the care of Harbor Hospice.
Mrs. Crain was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family and friends. She met the love of her life, Alvis Glenn Crain, at Thompson Pharmacy in 1957. They got married December 12, 1958. Her hobbies were talking (she never met a stranger), helping others, going out to eat, shopping, working in her yard, and mowing her neighbors’ yard for them. She was always on the go. Mrs. Crain was an active member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church for more than 50 years.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Alvis Glenn Crain of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie Warren of Whitehouse, Renee and Richard Albrecht, Alicia and Stephen Clarady, all of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Misty Busby, Mindy and Johnathan Ritch, Cara and Terry Pilkington, Dustin Anderson, Alicia and Cory Woodson, Samuel Albrecht, Jarod Clarady, and Kyle Clarady; great-grandchildren, Carson, Dylan, Gracie, Madalyn, Cole, Morgan, Katelyn, Lexie, Cortlyn, Anthony, and Kelcyn; sister, Doris Marie Hardin of Lafayette, Louisiana; special friends, Mark and Laura Hobbs; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members; and lots of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nab Chappel and Viola (Strickland) Farris; brothers, Royal Edgar Farris, Carol Eugene Farris, Douglas Chappel Farris, Floyd Dean Farris, Alfred Wilson Farris, and Billy Ray Farris; sisters, Janie May McGee, Nancy Ann Mickel and Barbara Sue Jones; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Calvin and Amy Crain; sister-in-law, Carolyn Ann Crain; and son-in-law, John Warren.
Pallbearers will be Richard Albrecht, Jr., Stephen Clarady, Dustin Anderson, Jarod Clarady, Johnathan Ritch, Terry Pilkington, Carson Ritch, Dylan Ritch, and Sam Albrecht.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
