Anita Lynn Thornhill

Anita Lynn Thornhill, 65, of Lufkin died Monday, April 14, 2025 in Lufkin. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Anita was born March 31, 1960 in Hobbs, New Mexico to the late Wanda Lee (Roland) and Roy Lee Hicks.

Anita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had a caring heart for others and spent her career as an interpreter for the deaf.

Survivors include her son, Terry Lynn Thornhill, Jr. of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Chrissy and Lewis Temple of Lufkin; grandchildren, Sarah Jade Dunn and husband Connor Lynn Dunn, Dylan Kade Thornhill, and Jonathan Lewis Temple; along with numerous other relatives and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Terry Lynn Thornhill, Sr. in February 2025.
