Graveside services for Elizabeth Ann Horton, 76, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Whitehouse Cemetery with Dr. John W. Greene officiating.
Mrs. Horton was born December 3, 1940 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Agnes Erma (Gann) and O.F. Skinner, and died Sunday, January 1, 2017 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Horton, who resided most of her life in Lufkin, had lived in Livingston for the past year. She retired from Lufkin ISD where she was a secretary for 19 years. Mrs. Horton loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and loved her flower beds. She was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Horton of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John and Terri Horton of Livingston; daughter and son-in-law, Edith Horton and Ronald Donoghue of Moss Point, Mississippi; grandchildren, Samantha Horton, Justin Horton, and Kenneth Bradberry and wife Danielle; great-grandchildren, Sommer Bradberry, Katelynn Bradberry and Emily Bradberry; brother and sister-in-law, Charles F. and Tetta Skinner of Dallas; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
