Funeral services for Jeffrey Howard Holaday, 59, of Waskom will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ralph Morgan officiating. Masonic services will be under the auspices of the Lufkin Masonic Lodge #669 A.F.& A.M. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery.
Mr. Holaday was born May 6, 1957 in Ft. Worth, Texas to the late Joseph and June Johnson Holaday and died Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Mr. Holaday, a former resident of Shreveport, Louisiana, had resided in Waskom for the past four years. He was employed as an A&P Mechanic with Express Jet for 10 years. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and loved to hunt and fish. He served his country in the United States Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant. Mr. Holaday loved to have a good time with family and friends and was one of the funniest and happiest men alive. He was a member of the Greenwood, Louisiana Lodge #409 A.F.& A.M. and also a member of the St. Matthias Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Andria Knight Holaday of Waskom; son, Joseph Kenneth Holaday of Waskom; sisters, Dr. Lisa Holaday of Arkansas and Rene Holaday and her husband James Cooke of New Mexico; parents-in-law, Beverly and Langston Martines of Lufkin; niece, June Holaday-Cooke; nephews, Clint Martines, Dillon Martines, Leo Holaday Justice, and Thomas Cooke Holaday; along with numerous other cousins and family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Mitchell Martines and Richard Justice.
Pallbearers will be Clint Martines, Dillon Martines, Jeffrey Maxon, William Nickerson, Vincent Jordan, and Ricky Modisette.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday afternoon, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
