Funeral services for Bobbie Lee Nelson Friday, 83, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Mrs. Friday was born September 12, 1932 in Beeville, Texas to the late Bob and Amanda Jane (Brown) Nelson, and died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in a local hospital. Mrs. Friday resided in Lufkin most of her life. She retired from First Bank & Trust following 29 years of employment. She loved to dance, and gave the gift of dance to a lot of people throughout her life. She picked up her dancing shoes and went Home. Mrs. Friday was a member of Lufkin’s First Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Leigh Anne and Joe Ed Eddings of Lufkin; granddaughters, Christine Eddings of Springfield, Illinois, Jessica Foree and husband Kyle of Fairfield, and Kelly Gonzales of Huntington; great-grandsons, Braxton Gonzales and Rance Gonzales; special friend, Helen Boyd of Lufkin; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bobby H. Friday. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
