Rhonda Elaine "Sweetie" Flournoy

Funeral services for Rhonda Elaine “Sweetie” Flournoy, 61, of Wells will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery. Ms. Flournoy was born July 24, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to the late James Carlie “J.C.” and Vernice (Cartwright) Flournoy, and died Monday, May 2, 2016 at her residence. Ms. Flournoy had resided in Wells most of her life. She was a LVN and worked for TDCJ and the Lufkin State Supported Living Center for the majority of her career. Ms. Flournoy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Wells. Survivors include her daughters, Melanie Williamson and spouse Todd Pounds of Wells and Jennifer Coogler and husband Jamie Coogler of Huntington; grandchildren, Tyler Jones, LeAnne Jones Hoskins, Alison Jones, Erin Jones, Seth Pounds, Dylan Bowers, Briley Bowers, Brayden Bowers, Marc Coogler, Michael Coogler, and Sean Coogler; great-grandchildren, Paislynn Hoskins and Waelynn Hoskins; brother, Larry Glenn Flournoy of Pollok; sisters, Marilyn Colbert and husband Danny Colbert of Wells and Darlene Frazier and husband Ron Frazier of Huntsville; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Trey Daniel Williamson; granddaughter, Sadie Coogler; brother, James Flournoy; and niece, Amber Lindsey. Pallbearers will be Todd Pounds, Jamie Coogler, Tyler Jones, Aaron Kalka, Kevin Colbert and Chad Collins. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rube Sessions Memorial Library, P.O. Box 120, Wells, Texas 75976. The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
