Funeral services for Vicki Howard Youngblood, 61, of Huntington will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Ted Howard officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.
Vicki Howard Youngblood began her life on Earth on August 12, 1954 and left it for a much more perfect place with her Heavenly Father on October 17, 2015.
Vicki had resided in Huntington for the past twenty-two years; formerly of Zavalla. She worked for the Forest Service for twelve years as a Secretary.
The following was written by Vicki personally; “Now this isn't your normal obituary because I'm writing it myself! I have been graced with such a blessed life of love and learning that can only be described as amazing! There have been ups and downs but God's Grace and goodness have won! I have left you for now, but to all of those that I love and will miss, we will have all of eternity to share! I leave behind my two precious sons and their families! David and Jan Howard of Lufkin and Marshall Howard of Huntington! In addition, my cherished grandchildren Neches, Sarah, Tyler, Katy, and Gage! Goodbye for awhile! To Henry; my ex husband and good friend; take care of our children. My sister in law, Kathy Marshall, I love you and will see you when you get here. Robin and Bladen, my niece and great nephew, you are like my own! Grandma Norma Youngblood, you have loved me like a true mother would. Last but not least, my "God given" brother Mark! We were chosen to be brother and sister and you have been such a loving brother, always there for all of us! There are many, many more family and friends, too many to mention, but you know who you are. Thank each and every one of you for being there for me, for prayers for my family, and for loving me! I am met in eternity by my blessed Savior, my husband Dale, the love of my life, and my brother Randy, whom I have missed so much, and all my grandparents and a host of other family and friends! Now we will all be watching over you and waiting patiently for your arrival!
Please do not send flowers, for I have all I need right here! If you want to give something, please donate to the STOPCMV.org to help with research in getting rid of this disease that has affected Katy!
I'll leave you with Nana and Daddo's special prayer...."God bless our children and our children's children"
Pallbearers will be Jason Oliver, Martin Smith, Wes Emerson, Josh Thompson, and Todd Swearingen.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
