Jerry Bob Langford

Memorial services for Jerry Bob Langford, 74, of Crockett, will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the West Side Baptist Church of Crockett. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Jerry went to be with his Lord peacefully on Saturday, February 21, 2015 in a Lufkin hospice facility. He was born August 25, 1940 in Quanah, Texas. He had resided in Crockett for the past eight years.

Upon graduation from Pasadena High School, Pasadena, Texas, Jerry served in the U.S. Air Force and then attended draftsman’s school. He retired in 2002 from Austin Industries of Houston, Texas. He loved to fish, was a good carpenter, and when it came to his garden, he had bragging rights. He was a true friend to his family, neighbors, and lifetime friends.

Many thanks to his nurses at the Crockett Hospital, whom he called his “girls.”

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, J.B. and Theresa Langford.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Deborah of Crockett; son, Terrell Langford of Houston; sister, Jeaneane Zernial and husband John of Porter; twin sister, Sherry Mohler of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Hospice in the Pines, 1504 West Frank Ave., Lufkin, Texas 75904.
