Graveside services for James Dean “Jamie” Lewis, 52, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Huntington Cemetery.
Mr. Lewis was born July 6, 1962 in Hood River, Oregon to Jimmy Lewis and Curtis Dean (Ivy) Dunn, and died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his residence. He was employed with Eaton Corporation in Nacogdoches. Mr. Lewis loved being with friends and family, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and spending time at the lake and in Galveston.
Survivors include his special friend for many years, Sharon Shankle of Lufkin; daughters, Jennifer, Mattie and Tori; sister, Laurie Gabehart and husband Kelly of Lufkin; brother, Chris Dunn and wife Gina of Cedar Park; sister, Amy Waller of Lufkin; aunt, Leatha Easley and husband Thed of Alto; cousins, Gregory Cordova of Diboll and Jeffrey Cordova of Lufkin; special nephew, Ryan Henderson of Austin; special niece, Kirstie Molandes of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and numerous other nieces, nephews and relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy Lewis and Curtis Dean (Ivy) Dunn; grandfather, G.W. Ivy; and grandmother, Lucille Ivy Wimberly.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Dunn, Ryan Henderson, Gregory Cordova, Jeffrey Cordova, Phil Ellis and Lance Ellis.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Lufkin.
