Funeral services for Paul E. Rawls, 50, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Hill Baptist Church with Dr. John W. Greene and Reverend Donnie Grigg officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Paul E. Rawls, loving son, husband and father, passed away suddenly Saturday, February 15, 2014. He was born September 25, 1963 in Lufkin, Texas to Billy Paul and Mary Evelyn (Burrous) Rawls.
Paul graduated from Lufkin High School in 1982. He was employed by the Lufkin paper mill for 12 years and currently was employed by HD Supply of Lufkin.
Paul married Lisa Rae Morris of Lufkin September 15, 1984. They had two beautiful children; Colton Ray Rawls, a senior at Texas A&M University in College Station, and Macy Deann Rawls, a freshman at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. Paul enjoyed being active in their lives and supporting them in any way he could. He supported Colton’s participation in FFA and loved his position as Panther Pride drill team dad for Macy. He loved taking them to concerts and sporting events. Paul also enjoyed hunting and being at the family camp with his mom and dad, Colton and his brother, Ken. Paul loved cooking and was always asking for a recipe if he ate something he enjoyed.
Paul was a member of Harmony Hill Baptist Church in Lufkin. He loved the Lord and knew each day was a blessing from Him.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Lisa Rawls; son, Colton Rawls; daughter, Macy Rawls; parents, Billy Paul and Mary Rawls of Lufkin; sister, Lou Rawls Liles and husband Stanley of Point Blank, Texas; brother, Kenneth Ray Rawls and wife Angie of Burleson, Texas; mother-in-law, Betty Morris of Lufkin; sisters-in-law, Rena Brister and husband Curtis of West Monroe, Louisiana and Betty Emery of Marshall, Texas; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pinckney and Rena Rawls and James and Cleo Burrous; and father-in-law, Ray Morris.
Pallbearers will be David Vines, Rickey Innerarity, Randall Taylor, Jimmy Williams, Wade Emery, Roland Brent, Mark DuBose and Mark Hough.
Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Avery, Stanley Liles, Melvin Linton, Shane Boulware, Brad Faucett, Justin Cariker, Jacob Charanza and Jason Wilcox.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
