Ruby Jane Lyman

Funeral services for Ruby Jane Lyman, 74, of Huntington will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Lufkin with Larry Bilbo officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Lyman was born May 26, 1939 in Crane, Texas to Alice I. (Crawford) and Howard R. Marshall, Sr., and passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at her residence.

Ms. Lyman had resided in Huntington for 20 years. She was an artist, and loved playing poker with her family. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her sons, Morris Howard and Diann Sparks of Long Branch, Clinton Howard and wife Becky of Odessa, and Vaughn Howard and wife Freda of Carthage; daughter, Trina Hardee and Mark Phillips of Huntington; 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Monroe “PeeWee” Marshall and wife Linda of Crane, Kenneth Marshall and wife Theresa of Huntington, Terry Marshall and wife Merry of Huntington, Jerry Marshall and wife Leeza of Ozona, K.C. Marshall of Austin, and Bobby Marshall and wife Lisa of Lufkin; sisters, Gloria Marshall of Pflugerville, Sally Bilbo and husband Larry of Sinton, Bernetta Rosati and husband Jeff of West Cornwell, Connecticut, and Treva Marshall of Diboll; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Marshall of Fort Stockton; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Rocky Howard and Kriss Howard; and brother, Howard Ray Marshall, Jr.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
