Gene Arthur Hallmark

Graveside services for Gene Arthur Hallmark, 76, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bethel Cemetery in Appleby with Pastor Gene Hazell officiating.

Mr. Hallmark was born March 16, 1937 in Kennard, Texas to Orville Douglas and Hettie Mae (Lenderman) Hallmark, and died Monday, August 5, 2013 in a local hospital.

Mr. Hallmark served in the U.S. Navy and retired from Lufkin Industries. He loved working with children, was an avid photographer, and a friend of the birds and butterflies. Mr. Hallmark attended the Fairview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Southworth Hallmark; son, James Douglas Hallmark; daughter, Darla Jeanne Hallmark Weber; grandchildren, Clarissa Zoe Hallmark and Joshua Hallmark; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Hallmark Spivey and Dianne Hallmark Standley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Cameron Ziv Hallmark; brothers, Orville Douglas Hallmark and Harold L. Hallmark; and sister, Virginia Hallmark Baker.
