Delcie Faye Mott Lewis

Funeral services for Delcie Faye Mott Lewis, 80, of Lufkin will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Reverend Otis Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Concord Cemetery.

Mrs. Lewis was born December 31, 1932 in San Augustine County, Texas to Dossie Columbus and Jannie Tabitha (Carroll) Stringer, and died Wednesday, July 3, 2013 in a local nursing home. She resided in Lufkin most of her life and owned and operated the Fuller Springs Skateway. Mrs. Lewis was a longtime member of Redland Baptist Church and recently became a member of Denman Avenue Baptist Church. Her passion was cooking and family gatherings.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Oval Terry of Homer and Fran and Rodney Williams of Garrison; son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Chairmaine Mott of Fuller Springs; grandchildren, Monica Cramer and husband Bob of Huntington, April Crager and husband Matthew of Lufkin, Brandy Elliott and husband John of Chireno, Trey Terry and wife O’Shann of Lufkin, Eric Mott and wife Mikala of Beaumont, Julian Luman of Fuller Springs, Rex Williams and Angie Williams, both of Garrison; sisters and brother-in-law, Eunice and Herman Letney and Elsie Pouland, all of Lufkin; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Edward Mott and Woodrow F. Lewis; brother, Leon Stringer; and sisters, Dovie Bryan, Gladys Snell and Gracie Letney.

Pallbearers will be Bo Letney, Gary Letney, Greg Letney, Dawayne Snell, Eric Mott and Trey Terry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carlton Pouland, Ronnie Stringer, Tommie Stringer and Tony Mangus.

Memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice, 2708 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
