Alexandria Lee Brewer

Funeral services for Alexandria Lee ""Alex"" Brewer, 63, of Wells will be held Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church in Wells with Reverend David Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Mrs. Brewer was born September 15, 1949 in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and died Monday, October 1, 2012 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Brewer had resided in Wells since 1971. She served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a teacher at Lufkin High School for 21 years. She was a member of the Falvey Memorial United Methodist Church, and Order of the Eastern Star, Lufkin Lodge.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Carl Brewer of Wells; sons and daughters-in-law, Carl and Christie Brewer of Kingwood and Kirk and Chris Brewer of Wells; six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by Reverend Stanley and Mrs. Jerry (Keaton) Nabona, who raised her.

Pallbearers will be Stan Anderson, Sean Dupre, Richard Nash, Frank Latimer, Wayne Hagland and Bob Harris.

Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at Carroway Funeral Home.
