Robert G. Allan

Robert G. ""Bob"" Allan, Jr., 79, of Lufkin passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2010 in a local hospital. The family will have private services, and would like to invite friends for food and fellowship Sunday, August 22, 2010 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the home of Gandy and Lisa Stubblefield, 1004 Dogwood Ridge in Diboll.

Mr. Allan was born July 16, 1931 in Batavia, New York to the late Ceclia (Miller) and Robert G. Allan, Sr. He worked at Beard's Fine Jewelers for 11 years. Prior to Beard's he was in heavy equipment sales management.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Gibbs Allan of Lufkin; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Gandy Stubblefield of Diboll and Debbie and Doug Jorgensen of Topeka, Kansas; son, Jim Allan of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren, Gandy IV, Tyler and Kole Stubblefield, Cody Jorgensen and wife Rachel, Lauren and Taylor Jorgensen, Riggs, Emma and Tessa Allan; and sister, Lucille Allan Ehlman of Medford, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Stubblefield Learning Center, 502 College Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
