Funeral services for Annie Gaye ""Mimi"" Hite, 90, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Luther Bolenbarker and Dean Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.
Ms. Hite was born April 14, 1920 in Shelby County, Texas to the late M.B. and Annie Chandler, and died Saturday, January 22, 2011 in a local hospital. She had resided in Lufkin since 1945. Ms. Hite owned and operated Artistic Beauty Salon for 60 years and was a member of the Herty Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Joyce and Lester ""Bo"" Williford of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, James Douglas and Ada Francis Hite of Baytown and Jerry Allen and Jeanette Hite of Eagle Pass; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Maye Brawley of Hondo; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Hite was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Pallbearers will be David Williford, Scott Williford, Ricky Brock, Richard Modisette, Lane Brock and Bo/David Williford.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jay Leclaire, Jeremy Parrott, Baylon Williford and Blaze Williford.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 116 South Raguet Street, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
