Glenice Williams

March 30, 1921 — April 2, 2012

Funeral services for Glenice Williams, 91, of Zavalla will be held Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel in Huntington with Brother Aubrey Foster and Brother Jacob Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will follow in the Zavalla Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born March 30, 1921 in Jasper County, Texas to the late Jess Cochran and Mattie (Bentley) Cochran. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, April 2, 2012.

Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and caregiver. She loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking, yard work, gardening, her porch swing and watching and feeding the birds and squirrels. Mrs. Williams loved Zavalla School and all school related activities. She retired from Zavalla ISD after 13 years of service. Mrs. Williams was a lifetime member of the Zavalla First Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School Class and her church family.

Survivors include her sons, Frank Williams, Jr., and Jess Williams and LouAnne Wooderson, all of Zavalla; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Burlon Jones of Zavalla, Frankie and James Bickley of Pollok, Glenda and Mike Demaree, Gay and Glenn Walker, and Jessica and Robert Gavette, all of Huntington; grandchildren and spouses, Mike Bickley, Wayne and Susie Bickley, Keith and Karen Bickley, Sherice Burton, Michael and Rene' Demaree, Kristie Jones, Dustin and April Walker, DeAndra and Justin Hancock, Brian Williams and Kelly Welch, Brianna Williams, Lane Williams, Heather and Alexis Duncan; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Frank Williams, Sr.; husband, Leo ""Son"" Roberts; and brothers, Selmon Cochran and Dennis Roberts.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Bickley, Keith Bickley, Michael Demaree, Dustin Walker, Brian Williams and Lane Williams.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Zavalla First Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zavalla First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 73, Zavalla, Texas 75980.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home in Huntington.
