Sadie Thomas

Funeral services for Sadie Green Thomas, 91, of Huntington will be held Monday, November 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the Huntington First Baptist Church with Dr. Darryl Smith and Doyle Thornton officiating. Interment will follow in the Treadwell Cemetery.

Mrs. Thomas was born November 6, 1921 in Rockland, Texas to the late Jeff and Addie (Allen) Westberry, and died Thursday, November 22, 2012 in Webster.

Mrs. Thomas retired from the Huntington ISD where she was a Teacher's Aide. She was a past Matron and past Deputy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star #938. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Huntington First Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was known as ""MaMaw"" by family as well as friends.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Marjane Green of League City; grandchildren, Kevin Green of Huntington, Jason Green and wife Dwan of Angleton, Matthew Green and wife Erica of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky, Darren Green and wife Stacey, Christopher Green and wife Shiloh, Kayla Loser and husband Brad, all of League City; 17 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, J.R. ""Dick"", Jr. and Gladys Westberry of West Columbia; sister-in-law, Beth Fitzsimmons of Huntington; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, O.B. Green and W.T. Thomas; son, Billy E. Green; sister, Vera Malone; and brother, Thomas Westberry.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Thomas' grandsons.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Carroway Funeral Home in Huntington.
