Zella Nichols

Visitation for Zella Nichols, 58, of Pollok will be held Friday, October 13, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Ms. Nichols was born July 17, 1959 in Lufkin, Texas to the late Wanda (Guinn) and Clarence Shanks, and died Monday, October 9, 2017 in a local nursing home. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. Ms. Nichols was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include her sons, Lynn Nichols of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Clayton Nichols and wife Niki of Diboll; grandchildren, Ashley Nichols, Shyanne Nichols, Mason Nichols, Courtney Nichols, and Tyler Nichols; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwayne and Renee Shanks of Jasper and Roy and Misty Shanks of Lufkin; sister, Lula Mae McCulley of Ohio; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Onia Carter; and the father of her children, Luther Lynn Nichols.
