Funeral services for William Bryan Nabours, 56, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church with Pastor Ford Adkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Trinity County.
Mr. Nabours was born February 18, 1964 in Zwolle, Louisiana to the late Emily (Meyers) and William Gerald Nabours, and died Friday, July 10, 2020 in Longview.
Mr. Nabours graduated from Hemphill High School in 1982, and owned and operated Nabours Trucking. He was a truck driver all of his adult life. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and hunting. Mr. Nabours attended Lufkin First Assembly of God and Cross Timbers Cowboy Church.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lindsey and Burney Suggs of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Conner and Aubrey Nabours of Lufkin; grandchildren and spouses, Ashley and Jason Hough of Portland, Riley Fisher of Lufkin, Brody and Julia Butler of Lufkin, and Shawn Suggs of Portland; four great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Keith and Darlene Nabours of Hemphill; sister, Cheryl Maxey of San Augustine; sister-in-law, Jennifer Maxey of Pineland; dad, Rufus Maxey of Hemphill; mother of his children, Pam Troutman of Lufkin; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Nabours; mother, Emily (Meyers) Maxey; and brother, Harold Maxey.
Pallbearers will be Brody Butler, Justin Spies, Matt Mullin, Will Baude, Chad McMullen, and Shannon Lowe.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at Cross Timbers Cowboy Church.
