Visitation for William H. Brandenburg, 90, of Lufkin, will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. in the Carroway Family Reception Room. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.
Mr. Brandenburg was born August 6, 1928 in Medora, North Dakota to the late Louise E. (German) and John Orvis Brandenburg, and died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Brandenburg had resided in the Lufkin area since 1972. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and the Merchant Marines during World War II. Mr. Brandenburg retired as a Trucking Manager for Louisiana Pacific. He was an avid deer hunter and fisherman, and was also a gun collector.
Survivors include his sons, Keith Brandenburg of Zavalla, Jay Brandenburg of Huntington, Dave Brandenburg of Houston, and Bill Brandenburg and wife Eva of Lufkin; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Brandenburg; son, Tony Brandenburg; and daughters-in-law, Sheri Brandenburg and Cathy Brandenburg.
