Wilda Rathbun

Wilda Rathbun, 94, of Lufkin, Texas passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, April 19, 2026, at her residence in PineCrest Retirement Community in Lufkin, Texas.

Wilda was born October 8, 1931 to John and Ollie Y’deen at their home in Decatur, Nebraska. She was a participating parish member of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas. She was a loving mother, wife and avid donor to multiple charities.

Wilda was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ollie Y’deen; baby boy, (Scott) Rathbun; and husband of 67 years, Forest Rathbun.

She is survived by her loving family including her children, Cherri Kahmann, Perry Rathbun, Carrie Donaghey, and Barry Rathbun; grandchildren, Sunshine Kahmann, Zachary Kahmann, Joshua Rathbun, Jacob Rathbun, Jordan Rathbun, Nick Rathbun, Emily Patrias, Brianna Graves, Cody Strange, Cady King, and Carissa Riley; and multiple great-grandchildren.

Wilda’s passing is a great loss to her family and to all that knew her.
