Wendell Dwayne Capps

Funeral services for Wendell Dwayne Capps, 54, of Diboll will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Darryl Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Capps was born July 30, 1964 in Lufkin, Texas to Lillian (Foxworth) and J.T. Capps, Sr., and died Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his residence.

Mr. Capps was a lifetime resident of Angelina County. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was the owner of C&D Decorative Concrete. Mr. Capps enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly (Johnson) Capps of Diboll; mother, Lillian Renfro of Diboll; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.T., Jr. and Paula Capps of Huntington, Jimmy Lee and Molly Capps of Fairview; sisters, Debbie Perkins of Galveston, Janet Lindsey of Lufkin and Judy Lee of Orlando, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.T. Capps, Sr.; and brother, William Thomas Capps.

Pallbearers will be Steve Capps, Gary Dover, Ray Lenderman, Jimmy Dale Jones, Chris Hambrick, and Mike Shivers.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
