Wanda Lee (Smithhart) Puckett

Visitation for Wanda Lee (Smithhart) Puckett, 69, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Carroway Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be at Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Puckett was born March 30, 1957 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Ada Lee (Goodman) and James Smithhart, Jr., and died Sunday, August 16, 2026 in a Conroe hospital. She worked as the Superintendent’s secretary at Central ISD for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Donnie Puckett; daughters and sons-in-law, Mandy and Jeff Cordova, and Winter and Rusty Skinner; grandchildren, Macey, Matt, Bryce, Braxton, Langston, Rylie, and Knox; great-grandchildren, Lavery and Tinsley; mother, Ada Smithhart; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Kelly Smithhart; sister, Kim McClelland; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Howard Smithhart.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Cordova, Rusty Skinner, Bryce Cordova, Braxton Oliver, Matthew Wallace, and Martin Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Troy Finch, Billy Patton, Randy Smithhart, Larry Williford, Danny Anders, and Trae Trevathan.
