Wanda Mewborn Mullins

Funeral services for Wanda Mewborn Mullins, 63, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Randy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Mullins was born May 29, 1960 in Diboll, Texas to the late Donnie Jo (Hickman) and William Leon Mewborn, and died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Mullins was a 1978 graduate of Lufkin High School. She retired as Postmaster of Huntington, Texas with 25 years of service to the United States Postal Service. She loved baking, reading, and crocheting for family and friends. She was pretty much a master of crafting. She adored her granddaughter and loved spending time with her. Mrs. Mullins was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Joseph Mullins of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Jennifer Mullins of Lufkin; daughter, Tamesha Mullins of Lufkin; granddaughter, Atlanta Mullins of Lufkin; brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Deb Crawford of Hudson; sister-in-law, Luanne Mewborn of Broaddus; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark and Sandra Dearing of Chandler, William and Darenda Mullins of Lufkin, and Connie Mullins of Lufkin; best friend, Tanyia Manausa of Carthage; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Simon Mewborn; and sisters, Tina Reeves and Vicki Reeves.

Pallbearers will be Matt Smith, Richard Noble, Scott Turner, Chase Mullins, Issac Dearing, and Jacob Dearing.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Bass, Brad Bailey, Andrew Mewborn, and Andrew Riley.
