Walter E. Stephens

Graveside services for Walter E. Stephens, 81, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Concord Cemetery with Brother Bobby Spencer officiating.

Mr. Stephens was born October 13, 1936 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Sarah (Ramsey) and James Stephens, and died Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his residence. He had resided in Lufkin for 38 years. Mr. Stephens served in the U.S. Army and retired from Sears. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Jones) Stephens of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, John W. and Randa Stephens of Franklin; granddaughter, Rebecca Stephens of Franklin; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Patty Stephens of Longview; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
