Virginia Lynn (Davis) Fenley

Funeral services for Virginia Lynn (Davis) Fenley, 90, of Lufkin will be held Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Hancock officiating. Interment will follow in the Gann Cemetery.

Mrs. Fenley was born April 27, 1927 in Groveton, Texas to the late Gertie (Ponder) and Daily Davis, and died Saturday, November 11, 2017 in a local facility.

Mrs. Fenley had resided in the Lufkin area all of her life. She and her husband, Ray, loved to travel in their RV. While being members of The Good Sam Club they visited all 50 states. She also enjoyed fishing. Mrs. Fenley was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and her family was very important to her. She was a member of Timberland Drive Church of Christ and she loved her church and her church family.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Redd and husband Eddy Redd; grandchildren, Cari Roy, Cal Kaemmerling and wife Karen, Kelly Kaemmerling and wife Mirna, James Redd, Angela Redd, Jason Fenley and wife Julie, Drew Fenley and wife Sue, and Leah Adrian and husband Matt; and 16 great-granchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Ray Franklin Fenley; son, Robert Fenley; and great-grandchild, Amya Redd.

Pallbearers will be Cal Kaemmerling, Kelly Kaemmerling, James Redd, Nickolas Roy, Allen Wallace, and Jim Wallace.

Honorary pallbearers will be Elton Fenley and Ron Chastain.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Joseph House, P. O. Box 150554, Lufkin, Texas 75915.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
