Virginia Martha Denney

Memorial services for Virginia Martha Denney, 79, of Lufkin will be held Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Herty Baptist Church with Brother Charles M. Roberts officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Mrs. Denney was born March 23, 1942 in Los Angeles, California to the late Stella Marie (Murtha) and William Terry Hormell, and died Saturday, August 28, 2021 at her residence. She had resided in Lufkin for 10 years. Mrs. Denney was a member of Herty Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Wayne Denney of Lufkin; granddaughters, Ashley Reed and husband Will, Colleen Gutierrez and husband Angelo; and grandson, Josh Clay.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughters, Dee Clay and Tina Swank Smith.
