Graveside services for Victor Harold Botley, 62, of Chester will be held Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Darden Cemetery with Rev. G.D. Baisey officiating.

Victor Harold Botley was born August 18, 1962, in Chester, Texas, to proud parents, Mr. Herman Botley and Gladys Botley, and passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024 in his residence.

Victor was a lifetime resident from Chester. He attended Chester High School and graduated in 1981. Victor was a hardworking man, he worked for the Corrigan-Camden High School, Punk Parrish Logging, worked in roofing and for several years provided maintenance at the Corrigan Funeral Home.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Johnnie Mae Easter of Chester, Texas; his four children, daughters, Chaslyn Victoria Botley of Houston, Texas, Satori Janae Botley “Demetrius Garrett” of Goodrich, Texas, Votasha Levette Dosia of West, Texas; and son, Letorrense Dosia of Chester, Texas; six grandchildren, Nathan Anderson Strong, Jr., Tremarion Holman and Nayta Strong, all of Leggett, Texas, Letorrense Dosia, Jr. of Lufkin, Texas, Diamond Levette Garrett and Demetria Janae Garrett of Goodrich, Texas; one great-grandchild, Emma Rose Strong of Leggett, Texas; his mother, Gladys Botley of Chester, Texas; eight brothers, Clyde Botley and wife Paula, Charles Botley, Ronald Botley and wife Lena, Joe Botley and wife Katie Marie, all of Chester, Texas, Kenneth Botley and wife Dorothy Horce of Corrigan, Texas, Christopher Botley and wife Sharon of Lufkin, Texas, Don Botley and wife Regina of Seven Oaks, Texas, and Andrew Botley and wife Brenda of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Shirley Jones and husband James Allen of Chester, Texas and Teresa Wyatt and husband Gregory of New Willard, Texas; one godson, Edward Thompson of Corrigan, Texas; special friends, Jolly, Artis Ray White, Sammy Charles Brown, Freddie B, Shaka, Jason Benjamin and Charles Willis; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Herman Botley and nephew, Keith Jones.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Botley, Charles Botley, Ronald Botley, Joe Botley, Kenneth Botley, Christopher Botley, Don Botley and Andrew Botley.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at Carroway Funeral Home Corrigan.
