Funeral services for Vicky Lynn Johnson, 70, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Napolean Shaw officiating. A private graveside service will be held in Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Vicky was born July 12, 1955 in Houston, Texas to the late Patricia Ann (Kuhn) and Elmer Alex Krause.
Vicky was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, and entered Heaven’s gate on Easter Sunday, April 5th, 2026. She loved babies, Hallmark movies, and cared for people with her entire heart and soul. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and never told them “no” when they wanted her to buy them something on Amazon. (Which was quite frequently.)
Vicky loved and cared for people with her entire heart and soul, she had a very giving heart. She grew up in Houston, Texas. To know her is to love her. She never did anything the easy way, she always had to be the first one to do something, she was feisty and fierce. She loved spending time with friends and family, going out to lunch.
She was equally as feisty as she was funny, and she was her happiest when surrounded by friends and loved ones. Although she will be missed dearly, we rejoice in knowing that today she is with Jesus, is no longer in any pain, and is finally reunited with her mother and father, both of whom she loved and missed dearly.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Glenn Johnson; son, Chris Johnson and wife Micki Johnson; daughter, Stephanie Johnson; granddaughter, Madison Johnson; grandsons, Andrew Johnson, Christopher Johnson “CJ”, Jr.; sisters, Kathy Bate and husband John, Carol Cowart; brother, Jeff Krause and wife Debbie; sister-in-law, Linda Johnson; brother-in-law, Butch McReynolds; sister-in-law, Sharon McReynolds; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilber and Mary Margaret Johnson, brother-in-law, Danny Cowart; nephew, Taylor Krause; and cousin, Ann Spears.
Pallbearers will be Diesel Stanaland, David Sullivan, Chris Lollar, Andrew Johnson, Christopher Johnson “CJ”, Jr., and Charles “Wes” Raines.
The family requests that in lieu of wearing black attire, people attending her funeral service instead wear colorful clothing to pay tribute to her colorful life and spirit.
The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Hospice in the Pines for the loving care given to Vicky.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
