Mass of Christian Burial for Valeria “Larry” Jasso, 18, of Diboll will be held Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Lottie and Arthur Temple Civic Center in Diboll with Fr. Luis Fernando Arroyave and Deacon Gary Trevino officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Haven Cemetery.

Val was born October 20, 1999 in Lufkin, Texas to Angelica Beltran and Sergio Jasso, and died Monday, January 1, 2018 in Diboll from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Val had resided in Diboll all her life and was a Senior at Diboll High School. She was the 2017 Senior Princess, Spanish Club President, a member of the National Honor Society, the Health Science Club President, the Captain of the 2017-18 Varsity Soccer Team, ran Cross County, participated in One Act Play all four years, was on the Debate Team, was enrolled in dual credit courses, and was a Project Graduation member. Val was employed at American Eagle. She enjoyed fishing with her Tio Guero, going to movies with her Tias Blanca and Kelli, and she loved Beyoncè. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

Survivors include her dad, Sergio Jasso of Diboll; mother, Angelica Jasso of Porter; sister, Anjelika Suzanna Jasso of Diboll; brothers, Kruz Ramiro Jasso and Rudolfo Antonio Jasso, both of Diboll, and Gilbert Garza and wife Anna of Raymondville; grandmothers, Dominga Jasso of Diboll and Bertha Beltran of Raymondville; aunts and uncles, Blanca Sanchez and Hugo and Ramiro Jasso and Kelli, all of Diboll, Angie Gonzalez and Ernie of Harlingen, Oscar Beltran and Isabel of Raymondville, and Carolyn Beltran of Raymondville; “Quad Migas”, Jade Hernandez, Mirella Carrillo, and Nicole Santana, all of Diboll; special cousin, Aly-Kat Solis of Diboll; and numerous cousins and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ramiro Perez Jasso and Juan Francisco Beltran.

Pallbearers will be Cedric Moses, Dominque Guy, Garrett Morris, Leonardo Vazquez, Lucio A. Monrroy III, Luis Hernandez, Nathan Garcia, and Noah Goins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Hernandez II and members of the Varsity Soccer Team.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Carroway Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m.
