Tracye Lynn Brashear

Funeral services for Tracye Lynn Brashear, 57, of Lufkin will be held Monday, September 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Timber Creek Church with Dr. John W. Greene, Pastor Justin Lindsey, and Pastor Jeremy Yancey officiating. Interment will follow in the Fielder Memorial Cemetery.

Tracye was born March 15, 1967 in Texarkana, Texas to  Nelda Lee (Byers) and Norman Wayne Holcomb, and died Friday, September 6, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Brashear loved children and had a true calling to work in Education. She was a Teacher and Librarian at Lufkin ISD totaling 33 years and was also a Principal at Harmony Christian School. Tracye was a faithful and beloved member of Timber Creek Church.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Keith Brashear; daughter, Bekah Brashear; mother, Nelda Holcomb; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sheri Holcomb; brother, Kelley Holcomb; sister, Angie McLelland; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Wayne Holcomb; sister-in-law, Leia Holcomb; and her grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Jason Holcomb, Michael Holcomb, Keith “Bugs” Bass, Jacob Perez, Hunter Everett, and Ian Fernandez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Holcomb, Kelley Holcomb, David McLelland, and D.W. Crager.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Affinity Hospice, 2708 S. Medford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75901; Timber Creek Church, P.O. Box 151038, Lufkin, Texas 75915; or the East Texas Alliance of Hope, P.O. Box 151114, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Timber Creek Church.
