Traci Higginbotham Wood

Funeral services for Traci Higginbotham Wood, 36, of Hudson will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Horace Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Glendale Cemetery.

Traci was born May 5, 1982 in Lufkin, Texas, and died Wednesday, April 10, 2019 in a local hospital. She was a lifetime resident of Angelina County and worked at the Lufkin State Supported Living Center as a DSP.

Traci had the biggest heart and was always thinking of others. She enjoyed spending time creating scrapbooks and photo albums to give to family and friends. Traci dearly loved her dog/companion, Bella. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother and father, Amie and Steve Wood of Hudson; fiancé, Joe David Crnkovich III of Hudson; granny, Peggy Lawrence of Hudson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Patricia Higginbotham, Chris Higginbotham, all of Houston, and Jeremy Wood of Huntington; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shanna and Ray Whatley of Huntington, Marilla and Neal Tubbs of Bald Hill; aunts, Carolyn Duckworth and husband Tom and Sonja Schaffer, all of Canton; special aunt, Mitsy Morgan and husband David of Lufkin; uncle, Mike Byron and wife Jane of Magnolia; second mom, Rebecca Lee Goodson of Trinity; third mom, Kim Caver Lee of Nacogdoches; best friend, Chasity Norsworthy Burks of Conroe; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Walter Lawrence.

Pallbearers will be Byron Morgan, Scotty Morgan, Mike Byron, Mike Bridges, Kenny Hammond, and Neal Tubbs.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
