Tony Spivey

Funeral services for Tony Spivey, 66, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Carroway Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chance Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Berry Cemetery.

Mr. Spivey was born December 10, 1957 in Jesup, Georgia, and died Tuesday, January 16, 2024 in a local hospice facility. He resided in Lufkin most of his life and was an air conditioning technician for Consolidated. Mr. Spivey loved to fish. He was a member of Fishers of Men and fished in many tournaments.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene (Foley) Spivey of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Aaron and Misty Spivey of DeRidder, Louisiana, and Fernando and Summer Valadez of Denton; daughter, Caitlin Spivey of Lufkin; grandchildren, Ashlynn Spivey, Connor Valadez, Daltyn Spivey, Ava Valadez, and Emberlyn Edwards; father, Ronald Lee Spivey of DeRidder, Louisiana; mother, Joyce (Anderson) Young of DeRidder, Louisiana; sister and brother-in-law, Sheila and Roger Bryson of DeRidder, Louisiana; brother and sister-in-law, Edwin and Renee Spivey of Deridder, Louisiana; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Foley and Michelle Foley, both of Boston, Massachusetts; brother-in-law, William Foley of Boston, Massachusetts; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Valadez; brother, Ronnie Spivey; and mother-in-law, Julie Foley.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Spivey, Fernando Valadez, Brian Adams, Michael Bryan, Tom Berry, and Johnny Davidson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Cross, Danny Hemperley, Eddie Gresham, Gerald Ivey, Earl J. Anderson, and Dustin Edwards.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
