Tommie Nell (Garrison) West

Tommie Nell (Garrison) West was born September 9, 1939 to Lula Mae (Dennis) and C.T. “Tommy” Garrison and passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Carroway Funeral Home.

Tommie graduated from Lufkin High School in 1957 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University. She worked for Lufkin Printing from 1970 to 1980 when she married Bill West and moved to California. In 1991, she and Bill moved back to Lufkin and opened West Forms which they operated for over 30 years.

She loved her family, her church, her friends, and her pets. She was a proud charter member of Christ Congregational Church.

She is survived by two sons, Jay Wallace and wife Julie of Pleasant Hill, California and Greg Wallace and wife Dorothy of Kingwood, Texas; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; one great-grandson; one niece; and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 36 years, Bill West; and sister, Virginia Garrison Weber.

There will be a private burial of cremains at Garden of Memorial Park. Per Tommie’s request no memorial service is planned.
